After scoring four goals in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic in June, Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew starts against Angola in the Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier on Thursday.

Jordan Ayew netted the match winner in Bamako against Mali before grabbing a hat-trick against Central African Republic in a 4-3 win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Also in the starting lineup is Mohammed Kudus as Spain based Abdul Mumin makes his first start for Ghana. The backline comprise of Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu and Abdul Mumin, while Lawrence Ati-Zigi starts in goal.

Captain Thomas Partey is paired with Elisha Owusu in midfield while Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Antoine Semenyo operate on the wings with Mohammed Kudus deployed behind Jordan Ayew.

Ghana are looking for a blistering start to the qualifiers to catch up with Sudan who beat Niger by a lone goal on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for 16H00 Kick Off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
