Jordan Ayew intends to establish himself at Marseille just like his father as the youngster blanks talk about going out on loan this month.

With limited playing time, the Ghanaian international has struggled this term after making his first team breakthrough at the latter part of the previous season.

Though Marseille chairman Jean-Claude Dassier stated before Christmas that a loan spell was an option for the teenage striker, that decision has now been dropped.

"I am not playing regularly in the team, that is why a loan would have been fantastic for me," the19-year-old told skysports.com.

"But Marseille trust me and want me to stay with the group and learn as quickly as possible."

Ayew's father Abedi Pele made over 100 appearances for Marseille during his playing career, while brother Andre is a current squad member at Stade Velodrome.

Jordan admits he is determined to succeed at the club, saying: "This is the biggest club in French football.

"My father wrote a big story here and me and my brother like Marseille too much. We also want to leave a legacy."
