Kevin-Prince Boateng scored on his return for the Black Stars against Egypt the World Cup qualifying play-off in Cairo on Tuesday.
The player, who last played for Ghana in 2011 was introduced as a second half substitute as the Black Stars went on to trail 2-0 through goals by Amr Zaki and Gedo.
He wasted little time as he halved the deficit for the Black Stars to finish the game 2-1 and ensure their passage to their third-straight World Cup finals.
Boateng side-footed home from inside the six-yard box. And that goal all-but ensured Ghana's ticket to Brazil.
Ghana, who led the tie 6-1 from the first leg, qualified 7-3 on aggregate.
