KGL U-17 Inter Club Champions League: Profile of Ashanti Regional Champions Royal Sporting Club
Royal Sporting Club is a Juvenile (U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17) Football club in Odumasi, in the Asante Akyem Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The club's mission is to identify and develop the football potentials of the youth in Odumasi and its environs and Ghana at large. The midterm to long term vision is to build a standard modern Academy with Astro Turf and grass pitches for football development.
Royal Sporting Club has participated in several football competitions across Districts and Regional levels since its formation two decades ago with the current triumph in the U-17 District and Ashanti Regional Tournaments being the peak of its achievements.
As a community-based football club, the Head of the Royal Stool of Odumasi, Nana Dr. Kofi Antwi II is the Patron of the club. The commitment and support of some individuals has sustained the Royal club from its foundation till date.
Royals Sporting Club is noted for their unique style of play where they create openings through the midfield to punish opponents.
They will aim for their first national title in the KGL U-17 Inter Club Champions League which gets underway in Accra on Monday, December 6, 2021.
