KGL U17 Colts: Greater Accra battle Eastern Region; Upper East take on Western Region in Group B TODAY
Greater Accra Region and Eastern Region go head to head at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram in the second Group B match of the 2024 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship on Monday July 29, 2024.
While Eastern Region just about did enough to scrape a narrow 1-0 victory at the expense of Upper West Region in their opening match, Greater Accra Region will seek an immediate response after being beaten 1-0 by Upper East Region on Saturday July 27.
Eastern Region will aim to put on another show while Greater Accra Region will seek to avoid another stumble out of the blocks as the two teams face off in Monday's early fixture at 10am local time.
This match is set to be an exciting, entertaining, and promising clash as both teams look forward to a win in the KGL Foundation sponsored talent identification Championship.
Greater Accra will seek redemption while Eastern Region will be keen to continue their winning momentum.
Upper West Region are on standby for Monday's games being telecast live to various platforms including the GFA App, GFA Official Facebook page and Max TV.
In the second Group B match on Monday, Upper East Region will take on Western Region in what is expected to be a fascinating match at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, scheduled to start at 14:00 GMT (2pm local time).
Upper East Region, tied on three points each at the top of Group B with Eastern Region, will aim to maintain their grip when they battle Western Region in their second match in the Championship.
Western Region take to the field for the first time since the Championship started on Friday July 26, 2024.
The 12-day Championship, aimed at identifying, training and developing young talented teenagers for Ghana's youth national teams, runs till Thursday August 8, 2024.
The KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship, launched in 2021, has been an avenue for talent discovery for clubs, particularly Premier and Division One League clubs, with several players being beneficiaries of the esteemed competition.
