KGL U17 Colts: Greater Accra take on Upper East, Eastern battle Upper West in Group B opening games

Greater Accra Region will face off with Upper East Region in the opening Group B match while Eastern Region will take on Upper West Region at the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship 2024 on Saturday July 27, 2024.

The capital side will get Saturday's games underway with their first match against Upper East at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

The opening match in Group B kicks off at 10am local time.

In the second Group B match, Eastern Region will take on Upper West Region at 15:00 GMT (3pm local time) as Western Region is put on standby.

The opening day of the juvenile Championship on Friday July 26, 2024, threw up two intriguing outcomes. Ashanti Region thrashed Bono Ahafo Region 4-1 while impressive Volta Region thumped Central Region 3-0 in Group A.

The matches of the Championships will be telecast live to various platforms including the GFA App, GFA Official Facebook page and Max TV.

The KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship, launched in 2021, has been an avenue for talent discovery for clubs, particularly Premier and Division One League clubs, with several players being beneficiaries of the esteemed competition.

The ten Regional Football Associations have selected the best U17 players from their Colts competitions to represent their regions in this year's edition.

The 12-day Championship, aimed at identifying, training and developing young talented teenagers for Ghana's youth national teams, runs till Thursday August 8, 2024.
