Two-time African Champions, Asante Kotoko are through to the third round of the Caf Confederation Cup after defeating Nigeria’s Wikki Tourists at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A brace from Eric Bekoe helped Asante Kotoko to a 4-1 victory over Wikki Tourists.

The Porcupine Warriors thus win the two-leg tie on a 6-3 aggregate after a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Nigeria.

Asante Kotoko, favourites on the day and led by led Emmanuel Osei Kuffour were 1-0 up before the end of the first session.

Kuffour, celebrating his 32nd birthday, opened the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors on the 20th minute mark.

Back from recess, Asante Kotoko stepped up their game and deservedly increased the tally seven minutes into the half.

The club’s highest goal scorer, Eric Bekoe scored the first of his goals on the day in the 53rd and made it 3-0 in the 64th minute.

Francis Cofie in the 69th minute struck the fourth goal for the Porcupine Warriors to make 4-0.

But Philip Auta got a consolation for Wikki Tourists in the 84th minute when a miscued clearance by Kotoko defender, Dan Acquah presented him with the easy task of planting the ball into the empty net.

Kotoko, losing finalist in the maiden competition in 2005 would now await the draw for the group stages.
