Asante Kotoko are gradually edging closer to a second-straight title after opening up the gap at the summit of the First Capital Plus Premier League table on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors made it three wins out of three following a 1-0 victory against Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A goal by top scorer Seidu Bancey after 48 minutes handed Kotoko all three points.

Didi Dramani's side now have a 12-point lead at the top with 12 more matches to go.

The win will boost Kotoko ahead of the derby with King Faisal next week.
