Asante Kotoko eased past Liberty Professionals on Sunday to open a 6-point lead at the top of the standings as Hearts of Oak drew in a late kick off.

The Porcupine Warriors won 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium and now sit comfortably going into the next round of matches on Wednesday against Aduana Stars who lost to All Stars.

Kotoko grabbed both goals in the second half through Daniel Nii Adjei and Michael Mensah.

The win will present Kotoko coach, Maxwell Konadu a real boost as he chases the title.
