Kudjoe Fianoo thanks all for massive support during late wife’s funeral rites

The family of Kudjoe Finaoo has visited the Secretariat of the Ghana Football Association to thank the football fraternity for their massive support during the burial and final funeral rites of the late Vida Odoley Fianoo who was laid to rest over the weekend.

Kudjoe Fianoo, Chairman of GHALCA and a former CEO of AshantiGold SC was in the company of his children - Dr. Mrs. Priscilla Mawutor Fianoo Dzinyelo, Mrs. Anita Akofa Tackie, Benedicta Mawusi Fianoo and Benjamin Xolali Fianoo.

The Fianoo’s were received by Genberal Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.). Others included Samuel Aboabire – Chairman of the Greater Accra Football Association, Director of I.T Francis Adu Essah, Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum, Director of Coaching Education Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah and Compliance and Integrity Officer Obed Tuffuor.

A good number of the football fraternity including President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, Executive Council Members, Dr. Randy Abbey, Frederick Acheampong, Regional Football Association Chairmen, Club CEO’s, Committee Members, past and present football administrators, among others, turned up to mourn with the GHALCA Chairman at the forecourt of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) Grace Congregation at Community 11, Tema.

‘’We are here this morning to thank the leadership of the Football Association especially President Simeon-Okraku, the Executive Council and the entire football family for the show of love and support during the final funeral rites of my late wife’’ Mr. Fianoo said.

‘’I chose not to come alone but to come with my family to express our sincere gratitude to you and the football fraternity for turning up to sympathize with us.

‘’The Fianoo’s can’t thank you enough’’ he added.

For his part, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) expressed the greatest sympathy to the family on behalf of the football fraternity and called for strength for the family in this challenging time.

The late Vida Odoley Fianoo who is from La in Accra, was married to the GHALCA Chairman for over three decades.

She passed on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the International Maritime Hospital.
