Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah will take with him 18 players for Tuesday's international friendly against Liberia.

Six players from the initial 24-man squad will not be part of the traveling party to Monrovia

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, Daniel Opare, Harrison Afful, Emmanuel Clottey and Isaac Vorsah, who all featured in the 2-0 home win against Malawi on Saturday in the qualifying for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations will miss the friendly.

Also excused is Emmanuel Agyemang- Badu, who missed the game in Accra through injury.

Ghana plays the Lone Star on 11 September in Monrovia in a game to mark Liberia's independence anniversary.
