Liberty Professionals' hopes of a good campaign in the MTN FA Cup came to an end on Monday with defeat to 10-man Tema Youth in the Round of 16 stage.

The Tema side posted a 1-0 win past Liberty at the Carl Reindorf Park to reach the quarter-finals stage.

Liberty had a goal by Issah Yakubu ruled out for off-side but minutes before the break, Tema Youth opened the scoring when Francis Narh rounded his marker and fired past goalkeeper Daniel Agyei for the only goal of the game.

Tema Youth midfielder Derrick Mensah was sent off in the second half but Liberty with numerical strength failed to in their attempt to draw level.

Tema Youth will now meet the winner of the Inter AlliesvWassaman United match in the fifth round of the competition.
