Ghana striker Majeed Waris is set to join Spartak Moscow after his Swedish club, BK Hacken announced on Monday the agreement of a transfer.
Waris, 21, ended the Swedish season as top scorer with 23 goals in 29 matches as his side finished their highest-ever finish of second.
“The premier league's top scorer has been surrounded by professional rumors almost the entire season,” a statement on Hacken’s official website said.
“Now it's clear. BK Hacken and Spartak Moscow have agreed on a transfer. Only the details remain.”
If the deal is signed, the Ghanaian international will join the nine-time Russian champions during the winter break.
