The 2024/2025 season of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League is heating up, with clubs across both the Northern and Southern Zones battling it out for early supremacy.

After two matches, Dreamz Ladies lead the way in the Northern Zone, while Epiphany Warriors and Jonina Ladies have surprised fans by sharing the top spot in the Southern Zone.

In the NORTHERN ZONE, Dreamz Ladies sit at the summit with six points and an impressive goal difference of +5. They are closely followed by former champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies, who also have six points but with a slightly lower goal difference of +3. Kumasi Sports Academy hold the third spot with four points, while Prisons Ladies come in fourth with three points. Sung Shining Ladies and Tamale Super Ladies are struggling at the bottom of the table, having lost both of their opening matches and are yet to secure a point.

The SOUTHERN ZONE sees a surprising development, with league debutants Epiphany Warriors sharing the top spot with Jonina Ladies. Both teams have six points and a goal difference of +3, showcasing impressive form in their first two games. Reigning champions Hasaacas Ladies, meanwhile, lie fourth on the table with four points, tied with Police Ladies and Army Ladies, who are also on four points after two matches. At the bottom of the standings are newcomers Halifax Queens and Berry Ladies, who are yet to pick up any points following consecutive losses in their opening games.

The early stages of the season suggest an exciting and competitive race, as both seasoned teams and debutants alike are setting a high bar in their pursuit of the title.
