The Malta Guinness Women's Premier League enters Matchday 7 this weekend with interesting fixtures to look out for. Essiam Socrates have been impressive in their début season and will host Army Ladies at the Mankessim Astro Turf. Hasaacas Ladies after losing their first game of the season will be looking to get back to winning ways when they play away to Soccer intellectuals. Here are fixtures for Matchday 7 in the Southern Zone.

SOCCER INTELLECTUALS VRS HASAACAS LADIES

Hasaacas Ladies will look to bounce back to winning ways when they play against Soccer Intellectuals at the Mankessim Astro turf after their season got blighted by Army Ladies last weekend. Going into this fixture after a defeat, the ‘Doo’ girls will be on image redemption against their host who were 2-1 winners on the road against uninspiring newbies, Ridge City. Soccer Intellectuals are yet to record a win at their adopted home ground whilst Hasaacas Ladies have a good record away record from home.

ESSIAM SOCRATES VRS ARMY LADIES

After thumping Berry Ladies 3:1 at home, debutants Essiam Socrates will welcome high flying Army Ladies at the Mankessim Astro Turf. Both teams have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season with 11 points each in the League log. This will be a keenly contested game looking at the current form of Army Ladies but the home side would have a slight edge over the visitors with their vociferous fans behind them.

LADY STRIKERS VRS RIDGE CITY

Lady Strikers will play host to winless Ridge City on Saturday. Ladystrikers have lost all home matches this season and would be hoping to get all the maximum points in this encounter. Ladystrikers picked up a point on the road against Thunder Queens whilst Ridge City suffered a 2:1 defeat to Soccer Intellectuals. Ridge City lie bottom of the southern zone table with 2 points but will capitalise on Ladystrikers poor home form to get at least a point.

BERRY LADIES VRS POLICE LADIES

With just three points separating Berry Ladies and Police Ladies, Mercy Tagoe’s team will welcome struggling Police Ladies to the Madina Astro Turf. In six outings, Berry Ladies have managed to pick seven points out of a possible 18 and lie in the 6th position whilst Police Ladies are on four points and sits in 9th place. Though both teams lost their Matchday six encounters, the homers have an advantage to snatch the maximum points from Police Ladies who have been unimpressive this season.

 FAITH LADIES VRS THUNDER QUEENS

Faith Ladies have been impressive this season and will hope to continue this run in the League. Thunder Queens on the other hand are having a good season and are yet to lose a game away. Surprisingly, Faith Ladies have lost two of their home games and this tough encounter could get them back to winning ways at home. This fixture will be a game of equals in terms of current form and strength but Coach Reginald Asante and his ladies are bent on righting the wrongs before the League goes on break for the FIOFA World Cup.
