Read on for the full preview of matches in the Northern Zone:

FABULOUS LADIES’ VS AMPEM DARKOA LADIES

Fabulous Ladies will face a tough test this weekend as they host Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf. Fabulous Ladies have had a horrible start to the season as they sit at the base of the Nortrhern Zone table without a point zero after three round of matches – 7 points behind their opponents. Ampem Darkoa are on top of the table with 7 points in 3 games even though their performance has not been overly explosive. Games involving the two sides have been tough over the years but the ‘Nanamma’ look favorites heading into this fixture with Mary Amponsah headlining the team’s performance thus far.

PRISONS LADIES’ VS SUPREME LADIES

It’s been a topsy-turvy start to the season for Prisons Ladies in terms of results, but they’ve shown some good signs in all the three matches played. The team put up a spirited performance over the weekend winning 2:1 over Tamale Super Ladies in Tamale. Supreme Ladies have had an excellent start to the season with midfield sensation, Linda Owusu Ansah going for the kill in all three matches and running home with two most valuable player awards. This promises to be a game of equals per the strength and squad in-depth of both sides but the home team would have a light advantage heading inti the match at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

NORTHERN LADIES’ VS ASHTOWN LADIES

Northern Ladies failed to win for the second time on the spin after drawing with Supreme Ladies last weekend. They have only two points to their name in three matches and now face an Ashtown Ladies team that is brimming with confidence. Home ground advantage does give Northern Ladies a glimmer of hope, but Ashtown Ladies are just well over the odds to win this fixture coming from a 4-1 victory over Candy Soccer Academy on Saturday. The Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium has always been a favorable ground for the visitors and they will be hoping to utilize this fully.

DREAMZ LADIES’ VS TAMALE SUPER LADIES

Tamale Super Ladies will be on the road this weekend as they travel south to face Dreamz Ladies at the Bantama AstroTurf. Dreamz Ladies will be seeking to recover from an embarrassing 3:0 loss to Ampem Darkoa Ladies over the weekend and have amassed only three points from a possible nine. Tamale Super Ladies on the other hand, are 4th in the table with four points in three matches. The likes of Stella Nyamekye and Sarah Nyarko are expected to come alive with a ruthless performance on the day but Tamale Super Ladies will definitely be a strong customer with Haruna Zainab leading their attack.

CANDY SOCCER VS PEARLPIA LADIES

Candy Soccer were no match for Ashtown Ladies last weekend after suffering a 4-1 defeat in Kumasi. Coming back to their comfort zone, the newbies will be hoping to sure things up in defence in order not to concede goals against Pearlpia Ladies. Pearlpia Ladies are coming into the game with a 3-2 victory over Fabulous Ladies and the likes of Georgina Ayisha Aoyem and Sharifa Iddi will be expecting to lead the lines Saturday. The game is scheduled is scheduled for the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
