AshGold's winning streak has been brought to a sudden end after Medeama SC beat them 2-0 at the Tarkwa T&A park Saturday.

Nathaniel Asamoah hit a brace to give the coach Tom Strand a winning start to his role as head coach of Medeama.

The forward opened the scoring in the 30th minute before adding the second on the hour mark.

Prior to the game, AshGold had maintained a solid start to the season with wins in all their three matches.

The defeat also sees AshGold losing their position on top of the First Capital Plus Premier League table with Medeama moving up to 10th
