After going four game without a win, Medeama finally tasted victory on Sunday, defeating Liberty Professionals 2-1 in Accra.
Goals from Godfred Rockson and Godbless Asamoah were in enough for the Mauves.
Rockson opened the scoring in the 28th minute but four minutes later, the home side were level after Michael Appiah canceled out their lead with the equaliser.
But in the second half, Asamoah restored their lead and the was no way back for Liberty.
The win eases the pressure on Dutch coach Hans Van Der Plyum after a poor start to the competition.
