Media and Marketing seminar held for Ghana Premier League clubs

A comprehensive media and marketing seminar has been held for Ghana Premier League clubs.

The event, held virtually, aimed to equip the clubs with strategies and practical insights to enhance their media presence, fan engagement, and overall marketing efforts.

The seminar covered a range of topics, including: Match Promotion & Publicity, Club Media and Marketing, Fan Engagement and Retention, and Match Day Activations.

The line-up of expert speakers featured several key figures of the Association, including Director of Marketing Jamil Maraby, who discussed best practices for promoting matches and increasing Match attendance.

Head of Public Relations and Strategy, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, shared insights on effective Public Relations strategies, Media engagement and brand positioning for clubs. He also provided some tips on how clubs could use Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives as tools to engage with Corporate Ghana.

Janice Odonkor, Head of Business Development, highlighted innovative ways to develop business opportunities and secure sponsorships while Julius Emunah, Head of Competitions, spoke on the importance of organising successful match-day experiences and creating memorable moments for fans.

The seminar was well-attended by representatives of all Premier League clubs, who participated actively in the discussions. It is expected to strengthen the communications and marketing capabilities of the clubs, ultimately improving their engagement with fans and other stakeholders.

The Association aims to elevate the professional standards of football in Ghana by promoting better media relations, enhancing match-day experiences, and building sustainable fanbases for the clubs, hence the organisation of the seminar.
