Emmanuel Antwi of Western Region and Ashanti Region's Issah Seidu emerged as the standout performers in Monday's Group A matches at the MTN Elite U-19 Championship, earning individual honours for their impressive contributions to their respective teams.

The talented youngster impressed throughout the contest and capped his performance with the decisive goal in the 80th minute, breaking the deadlock and handing Western Region a narrow but important win.

In the second Group A encounter, Ashanti Region's Issah Seidu was named Best Player of the Match following an outstanding display against Eastern Region.

The two sides played out a fiercely contested goalless draw in regulation time, with neither team able to find the breakthrough. Ashanti Region eventually emerged victorious after a tense penalty shootout, winning 6-5 from the spot.

Seidu's impressive contribution throughout the encounter earned him the individual accolade as Ashanti Region secured victory in one of the most closely contested matches of the day.

The competition continues to serve as an important pathway for the development of young footballers across Ghana, providing them with a competitive platform to showcase their abilities and continue their growth.

Beyond identifying talented young players, the MTN Elite U-19 Championship plays a significant role in preparing the next generation of Ghanaian footballers for the demands of higher levels of the game.
