The stage is set at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram as Regional Football Association (RFA) teams converge for the second edition of the MTN Elite U-19 Inter-Regional Tournament, with Ghana’s brightest young talents ready to take centre stage.

Teams from the Greater Accra, Volta, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern Region and Eastern Regions have already arrived at the Centre, with the remaining participating regions expected to join them ahead of the tournament’s official opening.

The participating RFA U-19 teams will undergo orientation on Monday evening before competitive action gets underway on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The 11-day championship will run until Friday, September 4, 2026.

The second edition of the competition brings together 10 RFA U-19 teams, providing a national platform for some of Ghana’s most promising young footballers to demonstrate their talent, discipline, teamwork and competitive character.

Beyond the excitement of competition, the championship forms an important part of Ghana’s broader youth football development agenda. It offers emerging players the opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience, attract attention from scouts and technical observers, and take another step towards professional football and national-team opportunities.

Proudly sponsored by MTN Ghana, the MTN Elite U-19 Championship is a key component of the Ghana Football Association’s “Power to the Youth” initiative, which seeks to establish a structured pathway for young footballers to progress from grassroots development into the professional game and national teams.

The MTN Elite U-19 Inter-Regional Tournament officially kicks off on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and concludes on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
