Ghana fell short on goal difference as the Black Princesses exit the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in the first round despite recording two victories.
The Black Princesses beat Finland 2-1 on Tuesday in Moncton to finish on 6 points but yet still failed to qualify for the last-eight from Group A where Korea DPR and hosts Canada, both on the same points with Ghana went through with a better goal advantage.
Jennifer Cudjoe struck the winner for Ghana four minutes from full time but it could still not secure a maiden last-eight appearance.
Finland took the lead after 50 minutes when Juliette Kemppi converted past Victoria Agyei in post for the Black Princesses.
However, Sherifatu Sumaila equalised for Ghana twenty-one minutes later before Cudjoe doubled up.
