Great Olympics showed determination to defeat title contenders Heart of Lions 3-2 at the Accra Stadium on Wednesday in the First Capital Plus Premier League.

The win, the first for the Wonder side on their return to the elite division was sealed within a two-minute spell of the second half at a time they were trailing 1-2 by two-goal hero Kwame Boateng.

Isaac Quansah put the visitors in front after 32 minutes but Godfred Asante was on hand to cancel it out for Olympics.

Then on the stroke of halftime, Osman Muntaka restored Lions' lead.

The home side, who had lost their opening game of the campaign were under pressure to get something from the game.

Boateng drew Olympics level after 57 minutes and a minute later, he was on hand again to score a personal second of the season.
