Coaches undergoing training in the Goalkeepers Training Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram have received Safeguarding and Integrity Training as part of their coaching course.

The training session, led by the GFA's Integrity Officer Obed Tuffour, highlighted the need for participants to instill the values of honesty in young players that they mentor.

‘’As goalkeepers’ trainers, it very important to instill good values in the players under our tutelage, so that they embody values that will make them successful as they progress in their career.” he stated.

Key areas covered in the training included identifying and preventing match-fixing, avoiding betting-related activities, and upholding the integrity of the game.

Participants were informed about all the reporting channels that are available for them to report all suspicions of match fixing and match manipulation, which will further underscore GFA’s commitment to ensuring and upholding the integrity of the game.

By empowering goalkeeper trainers with this knowledge, the GFA aims to create a new generation of footballers who are committed to the ethical values and abstain from of all forms of ethical malpractices.
