Greater Accra Champions Desidero Sporting Academy lost 2-0 to MAL FC in the final of the KGL U-17 Inter Club Champions League at the Madina Astro Turf on Tuesday.

The final was a repeat of the Regional championship final which was won by Desidero Academy – a Fadama based club.

Thomas Duah scored from the spot for MAL FC in the 10th minute after Jeff Buabeng was fouled by Abdul Kamal in the box.

The two teams then played cautiously to avoid mistakes as the game progressed steadily with some excellent play from both sides.

Abdul Salifu Razak netted the second goal for MAL FC on the hour mark to take a commanding lead at the Madina Park.

The speedster took on two defenders before slotting home from close range after picking a decent ball from midfield. Desidero Academy made changes in search of a comeback but their effort yielded no result as the game ended 2-0 in favour of MAL FC.

MAL FC qualified for the Inter Club Champions League after placing second in the Greater Accra Regional championship as they finished behind Desidero Academy.

Black Stars Head Coach Milovan Rajevac and his Assistant Maxwell Konadu were part of the special guests who watched the match at the Madina Atro Turf.
