The Premier League Board (PLB), has decided to open the popular stand of the Accra Sports Stadium for Sunday’s Week 30 First Capital Plus Premier League match between Accra Great Olympics and new champions, Ashantigold.

The match will also be used to crown Ashantgold as Premier League Champions for the 2014/2015 season. Ashantigold confirmed their title win after beating WAFA 1:0 on Sunday to open an unassailable six points lead over second-placed Aduana Stars.

According to the PLB, the decision to open the popular stand for free is part of steps taken to enhance patronage for the match and create the right ambiance for the crowning of the league champions.
