Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has backed Ghana's Sulley Muntari to remain with the club and even ruled out a reported transfer to Italy's Inter Milan.
The English club insist they have not received an offer from Jose Mourinho's from Inter Milan for the midfielder.
Italian media widely reported on Tuesday that coach Jose Mourinho was keen on bringing in the Ghanaian.
Inter are reported to have turned their attention to Muntari after they failed in their bid to sign Frank Lampard from Chelsea.
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is adamant he will not sell Muntari.
"I don't know anything about it. It's a new one to me," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
"I don't want to sell him. He is one of my best players and is a terrific young talent.
"If someone from Italy has been in touch, they have certainly not been in touch with me."
Muntari, 23, has impressed at Fratton Park since moving from Udinese last summer
