Two teams with contrasting fortunes clash in the capital when Hearts of Oak entertain bottom club Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Stadium on Friday January 3, 2025.

The Phobians have secured 25 points following back-to-back victories in the last five league matches (W3, D1, L1). They are currently sitting 6th place in the table after matchday15. They are  the third joint highest scoring side (15) and have conceded 10 in the process.

Aboubakar Ouattara’s men are unbeaten in their last three consecutive home league games(W2,D1) prior to this fixture and will be eager to grab all the spoils on Friday evening over struggling Legon Cities side that are yet to score a goal in the league since matchday11. Kick off 18:00 GMT (6pm local time).

The Royals are rock-bott0m after a torrid Premier League campaign this season with just 11 points from 15 games. Cities have suffered four consecutive defeats in the last five outings (W1, L4), having scored 10 and conceded the most goals in the league currently (24). They have lost 15 of their last 16 consecutive away league games since 2023.

Hearts of Oak have played Legon Cities four times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with all ending in a draw.

In the 2020/21 season, Heart of Oak drew 1-1 with Legon Cities, drew goalless in the 2021/22 season and repeated same score-line in both 2022/23 season and 2023/24 season.
