Accra Lions coach Paa Kwesi Fabin will demand focus and fortitude from his players as Accra Lions chase confidence-boosting redemption in Saturday's Match Day 7 Premier League game against Young Apostles FC.

The Royals have endured a difficult start to life in the 2024-25 Premier League season as they lie 15th in the table after six matches.

The capital side will be eager to return to winning ways after dropping points at home last weekend, sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea.

Paa Kwesi Fabian's men will be determined to rebuild battered morale ahead of the visit of the Premier League new boys on Saturday October 19, 2024, scheduled for the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon - Accra.

Lions have won 1, drawn twice and suffered 3 defeats. They are currently occupying 15th position with 5 points, scored 5 and conceded 7 in the process. Lions have recorded four points in their home games this season, (W1, D1, L1), and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday at the capital when they host newbies Young Apostles.

Sine their thrilling 3-2 win over Aduana FC, Young Apostles have suffered two successive defeats, losing at Berekum Chelsea and at home to Hearts of Oak.

The Wenchi lads are currently 16th in the league table behind the host with same points accumulation, scored 5 and conceded 8 goals. Young Apostles have conceded the second highest goals so far (8).

Both sides are meeting for the first time in the league since Young Apostles gained promotion into the Premiership in this campaign.
