Medeama SC will aim to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League ahead of their outstanding match against FC Samartex 1996 on Wednesday October 9, 2024, at the TnA stadium.

The Mauve and Yellow will be eager to return to winning ways after dropping crucial points against resilient Heart of Lions in their last match at home last weekend.

Medeama coach Nebojsa Kapor could welcome defender Kobina Amoah, goalkeeper Felix Kyei and winger Ebenezer Ackahbi back to the squad for the Western derby. The three players have recovered from respective injuries.

FC Samartex are boosted after they picked a point at Karela United in their their 1-1 stalemate at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale last weekend.

Coach Nurudeen Amadu will be aiming to cause problems for the home side as his team make the journey to Tarkwa to battle the former champions.

Elsewhere, Nsoatreman FC host Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Konamansah park in an outstanding matchday 3 of the Premier League.

Nsoatreman thrashed Legon Cities 3-1 while Berekum Chelsea recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Young Apostles FC in their respective last matches over the weekend.

The two teams will face-off in the Bono derby in what promises to be an exciting contest on Wednesday October 9, 2024.
