The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has arrived in Sunyani ahead of a 'Meet The Press' Session, scheduled for Friday August 9, 2024.

President Simeon-Okraku, who is in the company of Executive Council member, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, was met on arrival at the Sunyani Airport by Brong Ahafo Regional FA Chairman Dr Charles Osei Anto and Ghana football legend, Samuel Opoku Nti, who is also Chairman of the DOL Super Cup Committee, the body executing the ongoing DOL Super Cup at Nsoatre in the Brong Ahafo Football Region.

The GFA boss is in Sunyani to engage with the media in the Brong Ahafo Football Region in discussions targeted at the advancement of football in the Region, in particular, and in the country, in general.

It is also aimed at fostering and enhancing the relationship that exists between the Football Association and the media fraternity in the region, in particular, and the Ghanaian media, in general.

President Simeon-Okraku will address pertinent issues related to Ghana Football and answer questions from journalists and stakeholders at today's session, which will take place at the Eusbett Hotel at 14:00 GMT (2pm local time).

While in the Brong Ahafo Regional capital, President Simeon-Okraku will visit and hold a series of meetings with critical stakeholders, primarily the Regional Football Association as well Premier, Women and Division One League Clubs.

The 'Meet The Press' session, which will be replicated in other regions, will afford the GFA President the opportunity to reiterate some of his policies and plans of the GFA, while addressing major sticky issues which have dominated interest amongst the media and Football stakeholders in the region.

The GFA's decision to hold the session in Sunyani highlights the Association's efforts to engage with all Football regions across the country to foster greater transparency and inclusivity in its operations.

This is the second time the President will be engaging the media in the 'Meet The Press' series after the first one was held in Kumasi back in February 2024.
