President Simeon-Okraku chairs WAFU Zone B meeting in Addis Ababa

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who also heads WAFU Zone B as President, on October 20, 2024, chaired a meeting of Presidents and General Secretaries of the seven member associations that make up West Africa Zone B, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This meeting was held on the sidelines of the 46th Ordinary General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, who graced the meeting as a Special Guest,  was warmly welcomed by President Simeon-Okraku. The CAF President was accompanied by CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba and Sarah Makuna, Head of Member Associations Division.

The discussions revolved around supporting and growing football in the West Africa Zone B region.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe praised President Okraku's exceptional leadership, emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony among zone members for the growth of the game in the region. He also pointed at President Simeon-Okraku's active involvement and support for the activities  of CAF.

This meeting highlighted the collaborative efforts being engaged in by both President Patrice Motsepe and President Simeon-Okraku to advance football development in West Africa.

President Simeon-Okraku has been actively involved in various football development initiatives across the continent. Ahead of the 46th Ordinary General Assembly of CAF, he  attended an Executive Committee meeting of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Nairobi, Kenya, in his capacity as WAFU Zone B President. These engagements demonstrate his commitment to promoting cooperation within the region so as to stimulate the growth of football at both regional and continental level.
