President Simeon-Okraku charges DOL Super Cup Committee to host a competition to ignite fan frenzy
President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has charged the Division One League Super Cup Committee to orchestrate a competition that will leave fans clamoring for more.
He made the call at the meeting of the committee on Thursday at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association.
With a mandate to employ creative strategies and harness the power of both traditional and new media platforms, the committee has been tasked to unveil a groundbreaking competition that will captivate the hearts and minds of football enthusiasts nationwide.
Recognizing the pivotal role of supporters in shaping the footballing landscape, the committee has been urged to introduce a series of interactive initiatives designed to foster a deeper connection between fans and their beloved teams.
Addressing the committee, President Simeon-Okraku expressed his unwavering confidence in the committee's ability to deliver a spectacle that will reverberate throughout the footballing world.
"The DOL Super cup is one of the competitions introduced by the FA to offer more opportunities to our clubs for visibility and a chance to test players as they enter into elite football,” he remarked.
"I have no doubt that this competition will inspire a new generation of football enthusiasts and propel our league to greater heights,” he added.
Embracing the ethos of inclusivity, the competition will showcase teams from all the three Division One League zones, providing a platform for emerging talent to shine.
The top two clubs from each zone, and the best 3rd-placed teams shall compete for the ultimate.
