President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has once again rallied the Black Starlets ahead of their crucial FIFA U17 World Cup qualification play-off against Uganda in Morocco.

The GFA President spent valuable moments with the players and technical team in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the decisive encounter, encouraging the squad to remain focused and fight for qualification to the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar later this year.

He was in the company of the Management Committee Chairman of the Black Starlets, Frederick Acheampong, who has been with the team in Rabat from the start of the tournament.

Addressing the players, President Simeon-Okraku praised the team for their resilience throughout the tournament and urged them to give everything on the field against Uganda.

“You have shown character and determination throughout this competition, and I believe strongly that you have what it takes to qualify for the World Cup,” he told the players.

The GFA President reminded the team of the pride and expectations of Ghanaians back home and encouraged them to seize the opportunity before them.

“This is another big opportunity for you to make Ghana proud and also make your families proud. Opportunities like this can change your lives, so go out there with confidence and fight for the nation.”

President Simeon-Okraku also assured the players that their efforts and success would be duly rewarded should they secure qualification for the World Cup.

“I want you to stay motivated and focused because your hard work will not go unnoticed. If you qualify for the World Cup, there will be a good reward for the team.”

The players responded positively to the President’s message as preparations intensified ahead of the all-important play-off clash.

Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and his technical staff have already wrapped up preparations for the encounter, with all players available for selection.

Victory against Uganda will secure Ghana one of Africa’s final slots at the FIFA U17 World Cup, making the clash one of the biggest matches of the Black Starlets’ campaign in Morocco.
