The top-of-the-table clash between Ghana and Guinea on Wednesday will all but decide the final two places for the quarter-final at the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

Both sides clash in the final Group D game at 7:00pm (18:00GMT) at the Stade de Franceville.

Ghana, after victories over Botswana and Mali are three points ahead of Guinea and need at least a draw to reach the quarter-finals, no matter the outcome of the Mali and Botswana match.

In the unlikely event of a win for Guinea and the predicted victory for Mali, all three teams would be on six points and qualification to the quarter-finals would be determined by goal difference.

The responsibility of ensuring qualification is the only thing on the minds of the Ghana players.

"We would go all out to play and get a win over Guinea and whichever team comes second, we would be prepared to play them,” assistant Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah said.

Guinea, after their 6-1 hammering of Botswana, have revived their qualification hopes and confident of pulling a shock over Ghana.

“Against Ghana it will be like a final,” Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer said.

“We have respect for them but we want to win, we want to qualify for the quarter-finals.”
