The Premiership returns from a brief break to wrap up the halfway stage matches of an interesting season.

Already guaranteed of finishing 2010 at the top of the Glo Premier League standings, Bechem Chelsea faces a tough challenge at finishing the year on a winning note when they travel to Accra to meet improving newcomers, Mighty Jets on Sunday.

Chelsea leads the league with 29 points, five more than New Edubiase, who are now in second following a Disciplinary Committee decision to award them three points and three goals in their game with B.A. Stars which ended abruptly in October.

Though Chelsea are confident of maintaining their form and would seek to replicate their 2010 performance in the new year, the same cannot be said for the two most glamorous sides in Ghana football, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

The two share between them 41 league titles but have failed to convince their supporters of securing the title this season following last season's miss.

And both sides would aim for a good finish and wish away their poor form in the first round of the league.

Hearts of Oak, lying 8th on the table and 10 points off the top travel to the Tamale Sports Stadium to play a side battling against relegation, Real Tamale United.

RTU might have in recent times improved but a win over the Phobians would still see them enter the new year in the relegation zone.

For Asante Kotoko, they find themselves in the bottom three despite having a game in hand.

The Porcupine Warriors have been very poor by all accounts so far this season having lost six times in their last seven games and only drawn once.

They welcome All Stars to the Baba Yara Stadium, a game they must do well to win.

In Kpando, Heart of Lions who have been inconsistent so far welcome New Edubiase.

The Golden City Park would host the clash between Berekum Arsenals and defending champions Aduana Stars.

Ebusua Dwarfs travel to the Carl Reindorf Park to face Liberty Professionals who could slip into the bottom three if they fail to win depending on the other results.

Bashir Hayford would attempt to halt Kessben FC's slump in form and on the table when they take on King Faisal at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.

And having been hit hard by a disciplinary decision - including points deduction -, bottom placed, B.A. Stars could have matters made worse with their visit to the Len Clay Stadium where they play AshantiGold.
