Others included Chief Finance Officer Collins Dei, Joyce Asare, and Saiyada Maryam Siba, Head of Financial Reporting. They join colleagues from Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Cape Verde, The Gambia, and Kenya.
Vice President of the Ghana Football Association Mark Addo opened the workshop at a short ceremony at the Marriott Hotel on Wednesday morning.
The workshop aims to enhance financial governance in football, covering key topics such as financial management, accountability, transparency, and efficient resource use within football organizations.
This training is expected to provide participants with valuable insights and tools to fortify their organizations' financial foundations, ensuring long-term sustainability, accountability, and effective resource management in football.
The course is spearheaded by a team of experts from World Football governing body, FIFA. They are led by Christopher Suppiger, Head of Financial Governance, Lucca Piazza, Director, Reforms Implementation, Meryem Atouk, FIFA's Finance Services Manager; Andrea Portabella, Senior Capacity Development and Education Manager; Silmara Sousa, FIFA Regional Coordinator for Africa; and Raissa Toure, FIFA Division Office Coordinator.
Maxwell Caesar Kemeh, an experienced administrator at the Competitions Department, serves as the Local Liaison Officer for the workshop.
