Ghana's senior women's team lost to South Africa on penalties in an international friendly played in Dobsonville on Wednesday.

After drawing 1-1 in regulation time, the Black Queens lost 5-4 on penalties for the match played to commemorate Human Rights Day.

Banyana Banyana took the lead with a 21st-minute penalty from striker Matlou after a Ghanaian defender handled in the box.

Mercy Miles drew the Black Queens level after 55 minutes.
