Queens get off Olympic qualifier with a win

Ghana's senior women's team, the Black Queens posted a 2-0 first leg away win over Guinea in the qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Two goals from captain Florence Okoe and Portia Boakye handed the Black Queens a good start in the campaign towards a place at the London Olympics as the African qualifying begun over the weekend.

The Black Queens would host the return leg in a fortnight's time.

Ghana missed out of the 2008 Beijing Olympics after losing in the final play-off fixture to Brazil.
