Rahim Ayew is hoping for a fresh start in career after a difficult time in Egypt with Zamalek.

The Ghana international is set for a move to the Belgian league after Zamalek reached an agreement with Lierse for the transfer of the player.

Having been completely frozen out during his time at Zamalek, Rahim is keen on fresh start.

"I am a very happy person and I go into training in better spirit now," he told KickOffGhana.com. "My debut may not happen till next week but for the target is simple. Now I am in Europe, I have the chance to start all over again and I will take it. I need to prove on the field that I am good enough to play so this is an opportunity I will take."

Rahim joined Zamalek after impressing for Ghana at the 2009 African Nations Championship in Ivory Coast.
