Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac is keen to preserve Ghana's winning run as Ghana plays Japan in a friendly on Wednesday on a busy day of World Cup qualifiers.

Both sides are finalists for the 2010 World Cup having qualified from their respective zones.

Ghana, even with two games to play have qualified for the World Cup having maintained a 100 percent record in the Group D series and are yet to concede a goal.

And the Black Stars, fresh from clinching a World Cup place last Sunday will now attempt to continue with their fine form having remained unbeaten this year.

Ghana’s senior side have lost once under Rajevac in 12 outings since the Serbian took charge in August 2008.

"We need to give our maximum. For Fifa rankings, we need to achieve the best and preserve our results," Rajevac said ahead of the game to be played Wednesday morning at the Stadion Galgenwaard in Utrecht.

"We need to have a good team and this would make us a successful side. It's important to play quality opponents as we try to find solutions."

Rajevac has stuck to the same side that ensured a second successive place at next summer's showpiece making just two additions.

Dutch-based Francis Dickoh and Anthony Obodai are the only inclusions to the 18-man team announced for the friendly.

The game would be the second time in three years that both nations are playing in an international friendly with the last match coming in 2006 as the Black Stars beat Japan 1-0 in Yokohama to lift the Kirin Challenge Cup.
