A provisional list of 40 players will commence preparations in Accra on Tuesday for next month's African Nations Championship to be hosted by Ivory Coast.
Milovan Rajevac announced the provisional list on Friday as he gathers his local bunch at their M-plaza camp base at midday on Tuesday.
The list largely dominated by players from the premiership ranks has only Harrison Afful from the first division league vying for a place in the final team.
Five players will be absent on the opening training day and the subsequent days as they are involved in an international assignment with the Black Satellites at the Africa Youth Championship in Kigali.
Agyemang Badu, Dan Adjei, Samuel Inkoom, Kassenu Ghandi and Latif Salifu are part of the Under-20 team that has reached the semi-finals of the competition.
They will return next week as the competition comes to a close on Sunday.
Ghana has been paired with Zimbabwe, DR Congo and Libya in Group B for the African Nations Championship.
The Black Stars, seeded as the top side in Group B would be based in Bouake, the second largest Ivorian city.
Eight nations including the hosts, Ivory Coast would be competing for the maiden Championship designed for locally-based players only.
The maiden tournament would kick off from the 22nd February-8th March 2009.
