Real Tamale United record third straight win, Tamale City pip rivals Northern City in Zone One of Access Bank Division One League

In a captivating Tamale derby, Tamale City emerged victorious over their rivals Northern City, thanks to a decisive goal from Tawfik Salis Mohammed in the 55th minute. The match, held at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday, saw Tamale City claim the bragging rights with a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Real Tamale United continued their impressive run in the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League, securing their third consecutive win with a resounding 4-1 victory over newly promoted Walewale Catholic Stars in Tamale.

The visitors took an early lead through Prince Gbedzo's goal in the 4th minute, but Real Tamale United quickly turned the tables. Musa Alhassan equalized within a minute, and the home side never looked back. Mutala Sulemana and Abdulai Abdul Rashid scored in the 28th and 45th minutes, respectively, to give Real Tamale United a commanding lead.

Musa Alhassan sealed the win with his second goal, capitalizing on a beautiful cross to make it 4-1. This convincing win marks Real Tamale United's third straight victory of the season, solidifying their position in the league.

 

 

In another thrilling encounter, former Premier League outfit Bofoakwa Tano played out a 2-2 draw with Techiman Eleven Wonders. Bofoakwa Tano dominated the first half, with Doe Jacob Abiasi scoring a spectacular goal in the 29th minute, followed by Bismarck Gyan's own goal in the 32nd minute. However, Eleven Wonders staged a comeback in the second half, with Amos Opoku Annor and Philip Dare scoring two impressive goals at the Sunyani Coronation Park, ultimately leading to a share of the spoils.
