
Zone One A leaders Real Tamale United continued their impressive form in the Access Bank Division One League, securing their fifteenth victory with a 3-1 thrashing of city rivals Northern City at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Blabala Bamon scored a brace in the 16th and 22nd minutes, while Abdulai Abdul Rashid made it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Osman Zakaria netted a consolation goal for Northern City four minutes later. This win extended Real Tamale United's points accumulation to 47 after Matchday 20.
Elsewhere, former Premier League side Techiman Eleven Wonders secured a magnificent 2-1 victory over K.A.C Soccer Academy at the Ohene Ameyaw Park on Saturday. Farouk Ameyaw broke the deadlock for Techiman Eleven Wonders from a spot kick in the 68th minute. Leslie Aryeetey brought K.A.C Soccer Academy back into the game with a superb goal in the 83rd minute. But Frank Awere scored the winner for the home side in stoppage time to extend their lead on top of the table in Zone One B to 37 points, six points ahead of second-placed Debibi United.
The Debibi side trailed again for the seventh time this season, suffering a 1-0 defeat at Techiman Liberty Youth. Fuseini Zackaria's last-gasp winner helped Techiman Liberty Youth grab all the spoils at the Ohene Ameyaw Park. Debibi United remains in the second position in Zone One B despite back-to-back defeats.
