The Disciplinary Committee of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association has issued decisions after ruling on protests filed by Division Two clubs.
Case: Prampram United F.C. protested against Camba Soccer Academy for bringing the match to an abrupt end after the Referee awarded a penalty against Camba Soccer Academy contrary to Articles 34(1)(b), 34(1)(c), 34(1)(d) and 34(2) of the GFA Regulations
Case: Camba Soccer Academy protested against Prampram United for bringing the match to an abrupt end after the Referee awarded a penalty against them contrary to Articles 34(1)(b), 34(1)(c), 34(1)(d) and 34(2) of the GFA Regulations.
Decision In light of the case above, the Committee decides as follows:
1. That Camba Soccer Academy having been found to have breached Article 34(1)(b), 34(1)(c) and 34(1)(d) shall forfeit the match. 2. That Camba Soccer Academy is hereby declared losers of the match and accordingly 3 points and 3 goals is hereby awarded to Prampram United in accordance with Article 34(2). 3. Camba Soccer Academy shall lose 3 points from its accumulated points in accordance with Article 34(2). 4. In addition, Camba Soccer Academy shall pay a fine of GHc100.00 to the RFA, 50% of the fine shall be paid to Prampram United by the RFA in accordance with Article 34(2).
Case: Newtown Youth F/C protested against Rot Weiss for failing to pay a fine which was due on February 20, 2012 in contravention of Article 39(8)(b) of the GFA Regulations
Decision The Committee therefore makes the following decisions:
1. That Rot Weiss having been found to have breached Article 34(1)(n) and 39(8)(b) of the GFA Regulations shall forfeit the match. 2. That Rot Weiss is hereby declared losers of the match. 3. That 3 points and 3 goals shall be awarded to Newtown Youth F.C. in accordance with 34(10) of the GFA Regulations.
Case: Golden Boys F.C. protested against Accra Rangers F.C. for fielding an unqualified player in the person of Gyasi Noah
Decision The Committee therefore makes the following decisions:
1. The protest by Golden Boys will succeed.
2. Accra Rangers F.C shall forfeit the match and is hereby declared losers of the said match in accordance with Articles 34(1)(g) and 39(8)(b) of the GFA Regulations.
3. In accordance with Articles 34(2) and 34(10) of the GFA Regulations, Golden Boys F.C is hereby awarded 3 points and 3 goals.
4. That Accra Rangers F.C. shall further lose 3 points from its accumulated points in line with Article 34(5) (a) of the GFA Regulation.
5. Accra Rangers is hereby fined GH¢100.00 to be paid to the RFA within fourteen days upon their receipt of this ruling, out of which the RFA shall pay GH¢50.00 to Golden Boys FC.
6. In addition, Accra Rangers F.C. shall pay GH¢30.00 to the RFA which shall be paid to Golden Boys F.C. as its transportation expenses as the away team.
