Real Tamale United forward Rahim Akanta has been adjudged the Man of the Match following his outstanding performance in RTU’s 4-1 victory over Debibi United in the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup Group A encounter.

Akanta was a constant threat to the Debibi defence throughout the 90 minutes at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, capping his impressive display with two goals to help his side secure a convincing win and bounce back from their opening-day defeat.

The forward now has three goals in the competition. He scored once in RTU’s 4-1 defeat to Ebusua Dwarfs in their opening group-stage game before netting twice against Debibi United.

His brace has taken him to the top of the X1 DOL Super Cup goalscoring chart.
