As part of the ongoing GFA Free License D Coaching Course in the Upper West Region, participants have been offered specialised safeguarding training to enhance their understanding of creating safe environments for young players.

The participants were introduced to the FIFA Guardians Safeguarding Essentials—Course 1, which focuses on broadening their knowledge of safeguarding practices.

The primary objective of this training is to equip coaches with the tools and knowledge necessary to foster an environment that is free from harm and abuse, particularly for children and young athletes under their care.

The safeguarding module demonstrates the GFA's commitment to ensuring that all children involved in football have the right to play in a secure and supportive environment.

This training session is a crucial component of the broader curriculum offered during the License D course, further emphasizing the importance of not only developing technical coaching skills but also ensuring the welfare of young players.

The GFA's initiative in providing this training reflects its dedication to raising the standard of grassroots football across Ghana, with a focus on both skill development and player safety.

By integrating safeguarding practices into the coaching curriculum, the GFA is taking significant steps to protect the future of football in Ghana, ensuring that the next generation of players can grow and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
