Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh has named an 18-member playing squad for Sunday’s African Youth Championship qualifier against Angola.
The Ghana coach announced his squad ahead of Wednesday evening’s departure for Angola.
Ghana, who play away to Angola, will enter Sunday’s game on the back of a 5-1 first leg victory with the hope of qualifying past their host into the next round stage of the qualifying series.
Sellas Tetteh would however be missing the services of Samuel Inkoom, who is away on club duties with Asante Kotoko in the continental competition while Eric Adu Kofi is also back with his French side, Nice.
Both played a part in the first leg against Angola but Sellas Tetteh believes it’s an opportunity for other players to step in after announcing his 18-member team.
"It is always important to give other players the opportunity to prove themselves," he says.
Team captain, Ransford Osei, who grabbed a brace in the first leg would lead the line again after he was named in the team alongside strike partner, Sadick Adams by Sellas Tetteh.
The Black Satellites came from a goal down to deservedly win the first leg game with goals from Rabiu Mohammed, Sadick Adams, Abdul Ganiyu and a brace from captain, Ransford Osei.
The first leg win enhanced Ghana’s chances of reaching the next round of qualifiers of the 16th African Youth Championships.
