DCOP Lydia Donkor, the Chairperson of the Security Committee, visited the Nana Koronmansah Park at Nsoatre on Monday, February 3, 2025 as part of investigations into the violence that erupted during the Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko SC.

She was accompanied by key officials, including Felix Bewu, a member of the Security Committee, ACP Dela Djansi, Sunayni Divisional Commander and Superintendent Francis Numado, Sunyani District Commander.

The joint Police and GFA Security officials conducted a thorough assessment of the stadium to gather more information and understand the events that led to the violence. This visit is part of the decisive steps being taken to address the incident and ensure the safety of players, officials, and spectators.

In response to the violence, the GFA has charged Nsoatreman FC and banned the Nana Koronamansah Park indefinitely.

As the Chairperson of the Security Committee, DCOP Donkor's visit demonstrates her commitment to addressing the issue and finding ways to prevent such incidents in the future. Her expertise and experience in security matters, including her attendance at a sports security conference in Rome, Italy, will undoubtedly be valuable in this investigation.
