Seven-star Tema Youth progress in FA Cup

Last season Tema Youth, then in Division One failed to get past the first round of the FA Cup but this time round, the premiership side have sealed their spot in the last 32.

Benefiting from preliminary round bye, Tema Youth managed to romp in seven goals past third tier side, Portsmouth in the Round of 64 stage of the FA Cup on Saturday.

The result is the biggest goal margin to have been recorded from the last edition of the competition till date.

The Tema side have been in good form as they wait to discover their next opponents.

Premiership club, Ebusua Dwarfs defeated Believers FC 5-1 while Aduana Stars managed a 1-0 victory over King Solomon.

Kotoku Royals were defeated 1-0 at the Oda Park by BA Stars.

Berekum Chelsea prevailed on penalties in the all-premiership battle at the Golden City Park against Mighty Jets after drawing 1-1 in normal time.

Musa Mohammed cancelled out Mubarak Sinare's opener for Jets only for the the defending premier league champions to advance to the next stage of the competition 4-3 on penalties.
